What got you interested in beer: I started to experiment drinking craft beer in college. It started with classics like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, New Belgium Fat Tire and Goose Island 312. As my palate expanded, I really started to appreciate Belgian style beers such as Hoegaarden and Delerium Tremens. Throughout my twenties I’ve witnessed the local craft beer scene grow exponentially, and that has led to really craving fresh, local beer. I’m all about supporting local breweries and truly consider Chicagoland as one of the best beer scenes in the country.
Favorite local brewery: I grew up in Addison and More is a town over in Villa Park, it’s awesome to have a brewery so close to home that’s crushing it! They’re brewing some of the best local IPA’s around. My favorites are a double IPA called Loose Candies and also Strawberry Marbles, which is still the best milkshake IPA I’ve ever had.
What makes Beerhead special: This is definitely what makes Beerhead special: our great selection of local breweries. Whether it’s on draft or in cans; we really offer a great selection of fresh beer from all over Illinois.
What would you like the world to know about Beerhead: You’re definitely going to find a beer that you love here! That’s what great about our huge (and sometimes intimidating) selection. Whether you’re a beer fanatic or just starting to feel out the craft scene; we have a new, exciting beer for everyone.
Anything else quirky and fun: I love playing sports so catch me in your local men’s basketball league or in the co-ed soccer league out in the city!
Favorite food to eat with Beer: Burgers of course, but tacos, wings, and pizza are all great options too! With so many different beers to choose from nowadays you can really find a beer for any cuisine.
